Seattle Bridge Lights
Project Description:
2018 - Public Art Installation - Seattle, WA
In recognition of more than 100 years in operation, RSVR was selected to create a permanent art lighting installation on the Fremont Bridge. As part of a two-year artist and residency program, lighting installations frameworks have also been developed for two other historic bridges in Seattle.
The Bridge Lights project is a joint effort between the Office of Arts & Culture and the Seattle Department of Transportation. The organizations commissioned artists Hayley Buckbee and Ian Campbell to create a contextually sensitive art lighting design that reflects seasonal, solar and lunar patterns.
